Bruin Bucks Store
Date: Every 3rd Friday of the month
The PTA is proud to fund the Bruin Bucks at Orchard since 2016. Bruin Bucks allow each teacher in our school to recognize their students on special achievements. Once a month students will be able to redeem their Bucks at the Bruin Bucks Store for an item of their choosing. Bruin Bucks encourage positive behavior and teaches our students about the value of money.
Spelling Bee

Throughout the school year, the Spelling Bee brings educational content to teachers and partners with hundred of sponsoring organization in order to help students improve their spelling, increase their vocabularies, learn concepts and develop correct English usage that will help them throughout their future.
Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week

Celebrate Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week and #ThankATeacher with us!
Teachers provide so much to our students -- inspiration, motivation, and ultimately, their futures.
A week in May, we would like to show our thanks and gratitude by treating them like a V.I.T - Very Important Teacher.
Teachers change the lives of millions of children every day, and their work and impact extends far beyond the boundaries of the classroom. Join us during PTA Teacher Appreciation Week to #ThankATeacher for all that they deliver to our nation's children.
Los Dichos Program

Los Dichos has returned!
YMCA Project Cornerstone developed the Los Dichos program to help Spanish-speaking parents better support and become more involved in their children’s education and instill a sense of positive cultural identity in their children. Parents come together to read and do projects in the classroom with our students once a month.
In the new school year we will need parents to come read to our students in Spanish, English, or both. Lesson plans and training will be provided and this will be a great experience and allow more families to be involved in the classroom.

Donations
Thanks to your donations, we support all our current events as well as help other Orchard programs and events. Your donations also allow us to provide various classrooms with supplies.
